Goodbye 2010! Bring on 2011!

As we watched the ball drop right underneath Times Square in New York City last year - we knew 2010 was going to be huge..and it sure did not disappoint! We are a little bit delayed since we have been travelling since Christmas but we would like to wish you, our awesome readers - an awesome 2011

We have just arrived back from Manila - spending new years in a city where fireworks and explosives are pretty much legal. We are back with all our limbs intact. We both cannot wait to share all our stories and food adventures (and there are sooo many) with you. We literally ate our way through Hong Kong and Manila resulting in both our suitcases and ourselves being over 10 kilos overweight.

Hopefully, everyone has already kicked off 2011 with a great start - we will be working overtime to share our stories and photos here. From the endless supply of Dimsum in Hong Kong to the "peking duck style suckling pig" or pritchon in the Philippines..I think our stomachs are still in trauma of the amount of food we consumed. Of course we managed to fit plenty of sights and partying too! Although we still have to unpack and chase up a missing suitcase :(
I leave you with some happy snaps for our NYC white New Years - where did the last year go? In our bellies of course! Because here at the Empty Fridge..there is always food involved!
Yes, it was freezing. And what we would do right now for some NYC pizza!
Here's to a great year! Hope you can check back regularly, travelling does indeed neglect the blog. But were back for now, until the next leave application is booked of course. Happy New Year, from Demos and Gianna and Domo.

Happy new year guys :)

Helen, it was about a 5 hour wait in Time Square itself - but we spent time inside some restaurants and jumped a few barriers. They close roads underneath the giant screen and ball at about 2pm!

ahhh i want to go to there now!
